How Famous Entrepreneurs Came Up With Their Business Ideas
Every entrepreneur has gone through the eureka moment (a.k.a. the ‘aha!’ moment) when he/she first realised the potential of an idea that could be converted into a successful business venture. For eg. Nick Woodman, an avid surfer, used to take his camera with him every time he went surfing but soon realised that there was no proper way to take compelling pictures and videos of his experiences. What was required was a rugged, mountable device designed specifically for adventure. 5 months later, he founded GoPro. Nick is now worth $3 billion after GoPro’s stock skyrocketed following their IPO in June 2014.
The infographic below rewinds the story of more such entrepreneurs back to the eureka moments that led them to professional success.
If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, two crucial takeaways from this graphic would be (1) a keen sense of observation and (2) creation of convenience. Back in 2012, Forbes published an article in which they shared the ‘aha’ moments of 100 founders whose startups had collectively created almost 70,000 jobs. Here’s another interesting infographic which shows the top ten places where entrepreneurs tend to come up with their best ideas.
