Research Associate (PhD or PostDoc)
Smart Products and Life-cycle Management

The Institute for Integrated Quality Design (IQD), with links to both Business Administration and Engineering, conducts interdisciplinary research and teaching at the interface of Innovation, Quality and Sustainability Management 

Your tasks:

• Conducting a research project about product lifecycle management and innovation (e.g. Design-for-X/Eco Design) from the perspective of smart products and interconnected value chains ("Industry 4.0"), e.g. in the fields of smart home/grid/mobility
• Project management and collaboration with corporate partner
• Publishing in scientific journals (paper-based PhD or PostDoc/Habilitation)
• Offering lectures and supervising theses (BSc/MSc/MBA)
• Supporting one of the institute’s administrative functions (e.g. Marketing, IT, Finance)
• Contributing to the flourishing of an ambitious new institute

Your profile:

• German and English language proficiency
• Enthusiasm for research and high performance
• Master’s or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Innovation, Quality, Sustainability, Information systems or related subject (covering sufficient management-related content)
• Excellent grades
• Practical experience and project-related knowledge
• Team spirit
